(Note: Pov Panhapich, an actress, was shot in broad daylight by unknown assassins in 2006 and Touch Sounnich, a famous singer, was also shot in broad daylight by 3 assassins in 2003. Her mother was killed in that attack. The attacks on both girls were rumoured to be either politically motivated or as a result of a love triangle. The attackers have never been apprehended. Now both of these girls have become quadriplegics for the rest of their life).

There is a report that Pov Panhapich (pictured), an unfortunate beautiful young star who met with the same fate as Touch Sounnich, has returned to Cambodia from Vietnam after recovering from her near fatal injuries from gunshot wounds.
In response to the above report, Pov Panhapich’s older sister said that there is no reason for Panhapich to return to Cambodia as her wounds required further treatments and monitoring. Her sister further said that Panhapich’s conditions had not improved much, except that now she can use her hands to help her get up from the bed by herself. Her whole body was numb and immobilised.
Panhapich’s sister said that Panhapich’s hands, which had recently just begun to move, have become very painful now. Every night she can only sleep 2-3 hours only due the pains from her hands. //
