An illegal fishing boat that has been docked in Hobart for more than two years is to be sold for parts and scrap metal.
The Cambodian registered 'FV Taruman' was seized between Macquarie Island and Tasmania in September, 2005.
Its catch of patagonian toothfish was impounded, the crew deported and the captain and fishing master fined more than $110,000.
The Australian Fisheries Management Authority had previously offered the boat for sale, but the deal was cancelled.
Spokesman, Nigel Catchlove, says a new tender will be issued shortly.
"A condition of them purchasing the vessel will be the destruction of the vessel, selling the metal for scrap and the like," he says.
