Khmer Rouge leader Nuon Chea has appealed against his detention by Cambodia's genocide tribunal, with his lawyers arguing that his arrest had been "an illegal act." Survivors of Cambodia's Khmer Rouge publicly confronted Nuon Chea at a UN-backed genocide tribunal, marking the first time victims have faced a senior cadre in court. During his bail hearing on 8th Feb. 2008, Nuon Chea blamed foreign countries for all the problems during the Khmer Rouge regime.(AFP/Tang Chhin Sothy)
