Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem received delegations of the Lao and Cambodian War Veterans Associations in Hanoi on December 12.
The Lao and Cambodian war veterans are in Vietnam to attend the 4th National Congress of the Vietnam War Veterans Association.
Deputy PM Khiem stressed that the Vietnamese Government and people value war veterans’ contributions to national defence and construction and place importance on their role in the country’s political and socio-economic development. He expressed his wish for stronger solidarity between the three nations and three war veterans associations.
Cambodian State Secretary of the Defence Ministry and Deputy General Secretary of the Cambodian War Veterans Association’s Standing Committee Neang Phat and President of the Lao War Veterans Association Nekhon Sisanon expressed their wishes that the Vietnam War Veterans Association would continue giving assistance and sharing experiences with them in production development.
