Twenty eight new primary school buildings in the six districts of Pursat province were officially inaugurated on Dec. 17, with the total cost of more than 400,000 U.S. dollars funded by Save the Children Norway-Cambodia (SCN), the twenty eight school buildings roof 80 classrooms.
SCN Country Director said that this achievement is the outcome of cooperation between the provincial Department of Education and SCN. It will enable the local children to have more access to school, and at least finish primary education, he said, adding that to assure teaching quality, the organization will continue contributing to improve the living standard of teachers in the areas.
With sincere thanks to SCN for its efforts in bettering children’s education, H.E. Im Sethy, Secretary of State for Ministry of Education Youth and Sports also asked teachers, students and parents to use the buildings with good care so that they can last for the next generations.
