The Beehive Radio Station asked three political parties which broadcast their programs on this radio station to stop their attacks and criticisms on each others, otherwise, Beehive will cancel their contract to rent broadcasting time. In a statement issued on Monday, Mam Sonando, director of the radio station, said that his radio station did not sell air time to three political parties – SRP, NRP, and HRP – so that they use it as a forum to attack each other, because this action could threaten the national stability. In his statement, Mam Sonando said that his radio station does not prevent freedom of expression, however, it cannot accept the broadcasting of false and baseless information which could create political dispute and instability. The three parties which rent broadcasting times on the Beehive station are: the NRP’s Voice of the Royalists program, the SRP’s Candlelight program, and the HRP’s Human Rights Voice.
