The HRP conducted a surveying vote on 10 December, the same date as the celebration of the Human Rights Day, to find out the opinion of its party members on the unification of the HRP with other political parties that want to unite also. The opinion vote was conducted among the 242 party advisory committee members at the national level. The three questions asked to these members were: (A) unite without condition, (B) no unification, and (C) unite with condition. According to the Rasmei Kampuchea, the results of the election indicated that question B received 116 votes, and question C received 126 votes among a total of 242 votes. After the voting, Kem Sokha talked about the party position, saying that the HRP will never unite with any other political party, however, if any party want to unite, it should have similar policies as the HRP.
