Berlin - Cambodian children gave evidence in a German sex trial Thursday for the first time in Germany's legal history.
A court spokesman in the northern port city of Kiel said that two children had given evidence in closed proceedings against a 48-year- old man from the city of Neumuenster.
A further three children had yet to testify, the spokesman said, declining to reveal further details.
The man, who is HIV positive, is charged with seeking out his youthful victims in the impoverished country during a motorcycle trip there at the beginning of this year.
The French organization Action pour les Enfants initiated the legal proceedings.
