Phnom Penh, Cambodia (AHN) - A new museum near the famous Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia opened on Friday, news wire Kyodo News said.
The Preah Norodom Sihanouk-Angkor Museum in the northern province of Siem Reap was built for $1 million with financial assistance from Japanese firm Aeon Corp.
The museum displays 274 Buddhist statues excavated at the Banteay Kdei Temple in 2001 by the Sophia University Angkor International Mission.
