Rachel Estée Sam and William Josiah Rubenstein are to be married Sunday
at the Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston. Rabbi Moshe Waldoks will
officiate, incorporating blessings in Hebrew, English, French and
Cambodian. On Saturday a traditional Khmer wedding celebration was held
at the Sunny Da restaurant in Lowell, Mass., that included a pairing
ceremony, during which ribbons representing blessings were tied on the
wrists of the bride and groom.
The bride, 25, is keeping her name. She is a manager at Global Health
Strategies, a public health consultancy in New York. She works primarily
on polio eradication and H.I.V. prevention. She graduated from Yale,
from which she also received a master’s degree in public health.
She is a daughter of Tioulong Saumura and Sam Rainsy of Phnom Penh,
Cambodia. Mr. Sam Rainsy is the leader of the Cambodian National Rescue
Party, the opposition party. From May 1993 to October 1994, he was
Cambodia’s minister of finance. The bride’s mother is a member of the
Cambodian Parliament from Phnom Penh.
Next week, the groom, 27, is to enter the Icahn School of Medicine at
Mount Sinai in New York. He graduated cum laude from Yale.
He is a son of Dr. Susan R. Gordon and Dr. Mitchell H. Rubenstein of
Brookline, Mass. The groom’s mother is an internist at the Brigham and
Women’s Physician Group in Chestnut Hill, Mass. His father is the vice
chairman for clinical affairs in the dermatology department at Brigham
and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Both are assistant professors at Harvard
Medical School.

i was with rainsy for 5 years. he rainsy never like khmer event once. all he doe's is for his own selfishness interest only. this opportunist riansy very weak and being habitat of spoil, rainsy do everything " destructive or evil" to get what he used to cry for. this rainsy charactoristict is worst absolutely worst no principles, no disciplinary and no mentor to get job don on a very effective detail, now you can clearly see rainsy is a real madness man. now can't you ,? sir I can see frome the beginning rainsy is too much proud on his Franch deplomar, and reject on any advice this childish rainsy believed he out smart other easily on his manipulation skills. he was very useless proud., wasn't he? it is too dangerous to have such childish rainsy run a state full of less education people, and very cruel, too poor. some people robbed, kill other for food . so weakness and spoiled rainsy can not manage this lawless country's, now can't he?. right?.now it absolutely clear rainsy is a madness weakness man and surrounding himself with ex Khmerought cruel people and some losers khmer Republican, and for most rainsy lose to or under bad influenced by this naively people, wasn't it true. ? right?. mike

If she is going to be converted to Jew as her husband is Jew. Many other race marriage to Jew family are conversed. I hope that she is allowed to retain her own culture and happily celebrate Hanukkah and Cambodia New Year.

Everyone close to Sam Rainsy party, high rank, know that...
Even his ex. top bodyquard, who did quit him because of rainsy selfishness,
have told me that Rainsy like to talk and never listen to others members suggestions.
And I know so many bad rumors of him.
If Rachel is his only daughter, from the bad things I have heard,
she is no difference from her father.

It's Sam Rainsy's plan to get Jewish genes for his grandchildren. His dream to raise IQ level and get some smart grandson to change Cambodia. Very funny :)
