PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Opposition leaders Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha on Thursday visited Meach Sovannara, senior official of CNRP, activists and Boeung Kok land right activists at Prey Sar prison.
19 people were arrested in November last year and have been detained in Prey Sar prison on the outskirt of Phnom Penh.
Among them, seven women land activists from Boeung Kok community were sentenced in November to one year each in prison on charges of blocking public traffic after they protested in front of Phnom Penh City Hall to demand the government to help address floodwater in their community.
